i just got back from visiting jen in chcago. had a lot of fun. got some shirts. got some boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooty. smoked a little. bought a new piece, one of those small metal one-hitters. good for traveling!

i rediscovered my genesis. i'm going to make it my mission to smoke and then play sonic the hedgehog or aladdin for the rest of the week. they're so... visually stimulating. and by "visually stimulating" i mean "oooooh they're colyful and perty!"

i just saw the preview for "the butterfly effect", and i hate to say it, but it looks like it could be really really cool. couldn't find any reviews yet. took a look at the boards, and of course everyone is drawing parallels to donnie darko. this has inspired me to start an entirely new paragraph for this rant.

DONNIE DARKO SUCKED A FAT DONKEY DICK AND IT DRIVES ME FUCKING CRAZY THAT PEOPLE WHO DO LIKE IT ARE LIKE "it was above your head, you just didn't understand it" TO PEOPLE WHO HATE IT

IT SUCKED. seriously. it was a BAD MOVIE. there were HOLES IN THE PLOT. HOLES. it wasn't that i didn't understand it. i did. there were holes. and there were holes in the dialogue. why? because it was POORLY WRITTEN. the acting wasn't fantastic, it was competent. it was an interesting concept, it was shot well, and it was neat looking. but wasn't the best movie ever, not by a fucking long shot. and if you think it was, you have poor taste in movies.

i just looked up and saw i wrote that its a bad movie. i guess it isn't BAD, so much as MEDIOCRE. i just hate people who love it. i feel like this isn't the first time i've bitched about this movie. it probably isn't.

anyway.

before i flew to chicago, i bought advance wars 2 for the gba. crazy fun addictive game. i also bought four cds, all of i'm really happy about: the new deathcab for cutie, outkast's "stankonia", k's choice "paradise in me", and the flaming lips "yoshimi battles the pink robots". i've never really liked the flaming lips, but i guess i never gave them a chance, because that cd is AWESOME. it's really good, straight through, no weak points. i may start listening to them in general.

i lost steam. peace.
