i'm going to try to pull a ninja move and give the draft of my paper to my expert reader on tuesday when i have his class, instead of monday, when i'm supposed to.

i'm also about to try to sleep, get up early, and work straight on until i'm done, with exceptions for work, food, and pooping.

also, let me say something about the smashing pumpkins. they are the goddamn greatest band that ever graced god's green earth. NO OTHER BAND can move me like they do. i'm determined to make a mix of my favorite songs by them that weren't superhits. i may or may not make an exception for songs that were on movie soundtracks, because while yeah they were on the radio for a little while, they weren't really singles.

and they weren't really all that popular.

and there were only two of them ("eye" and "the end is the beginning is the end").

and they're both good. so i dunno.

i walked in here from the lab, completely worn the fuck out, sat down, took my shoes off, and put on "bodies", and let me tell you something.

it was the highlight of my fucking day.
